This is my favorite quote and so true for me personally. My life wasn’t always like the life I’m living now and I’ll never forget that. Which is why I started WE EVENTS. Everyone deserves a second chance and everyone deserves kindness. I may never be able to repay the people who helped me along the way but I sure as hell can pay it forward.
I am incredibly grateful for all of YOU because if you are getting this email you have somehow supported WE EVENTS in the last 3 years. Whether you are a client, a volunteer, a vendor or a charitable partner YOU are why WE exist and how WE not just survived a pandemic but were still able to donate to our favorite local causes.I’m incredibly pleased to announce that WE EVENTS has donated over $27,000 in money, services and goods to our community in 2021!

WE donated 10% of our sales to a monthly local charity.

We launched our probono project Guppy Tank, a grant and mentorship program for kid entrepreneurs.

For the 3rd year, In partnership with Hello Baby and Blacks in the Green, WE sponsored, built and installed the Woodlawn Fairy Garden which included over 40 hours of pro-bono time.

With your help we sponsored a school supply drive at three locations in the city and collected more than 100 backpacks and school supplies that was donated to Paving The Way Project.

$850 donated to Equality Should be Normal.

We shopped local and purchased $1000 worth of Green Explorers Craft kits to pass out to the kids of Equality Should be Normal.

Donated 10 large balloon installs and 25 bags of balloons to various Chicago charities.

We donated 30 craft kits to Foster Children.

30 kits were assembled and donated to people experiencing homelessness.

We brought our Letters to Santa event back benefitting Betsys Blankets.We sponsored and built 4 magical holiday displays that were installed at Mr. Dave, Bright Bowls, Blink Family Eye Care and Muse Coffee Studio. The “event” collected monetary donations and blankets that will be distributed by Betsy’s Blankets to spread warmth throughout Chicago. (I’m not picking up blankets till first week in Jan so I don’t have totals yet!)
AND we aren’t stopping! WE have lots more giving planned in 2022 and WE are excited to announce our first Guppy Tank Kid mid January.
