Pinterest End of Year Party 2025

I am still glowing after bringing Pinterest’s End-of-Year celebration to life in Chicago.

There are events, and then there are immersive brand worlds — and the 2025 Pinterest End-of-Year celebration fell firmly into the second category. As the founder of WE EVENTS, a Chicago-based event planner specializing in corporate events, branding events, and experiential design, I had the honor of designing and producing this year’s theme: “Golden Hour: A Sun-Kissed Celebration.” The concept transformed the space into a warm, luminous escape where golden hour glow met lush natural greenery.

Designing a Golden Hour Experience in Chicago

Inspired by the fleeting beauty of golden hour — that soft, cinematic moment when daylight shifts into honeyed warmth — I designed an immersive environment layered with amber lighting, organic textures, and abundant greenery. The space blurred the line between indoors and outdoors, bringing nature into the heart of the event in a way that felt effortless and intentional.

Every design decision was made with intention — from lighting placement to botanical layering — all working together to create an environment that felt both elevated and emotionally grounding.

As a Chicago corporate event planner, my focus is always on translating brand identity into spatial storytelling, and this project was a perfect expression of that approach.

Interactive Moments That Defined the Experience

To elevate the guest experience, I implemented a series of interactive activations that extended the Golden Hour theme beyond visual design.

I partnered with Indigo and Violet to bring in a DIY wreath activation, where guests created their own botanical wreaths using seasonal greenery and dried florals. It became a grounding, creative moment within the evening — something personal guests could take home and continue to experience beyond the event itself.

I also created a DIY simmer pot activation, where guests blended citrus, herbs, and spices to create their own aromatic simmer pots. This sensory experience added another layer to the evening — filling the space with warmth, nostalgia, and comfort.

To bring in a reflective and playful element, Aura Iris captured aura photography on-site. Guests were able to see their energy visualized in real time, which quickly became one of the most talked-about moments of the night.

Creating a Pinterest-Inspired Immersive World

Every detail of this Pinterest End-of-Year celebration was designed to feel intentional and immersive. I wanted guests to experience the event the way they experience inspiration online — fluidly, emotionally, and without boundaries.

The lighting shifted as the evening progressed, the greenery framed every moment, and the activations invited guests to slow down, engage, and connect. It wasn’t just about aesthetics — it was about feeling.

As a Chicago event planner specializing in corporate events and brand activations, this is always my goal: to design spaces that don’t just look beautiful, but create lasting emotional impact.

I’m incredibly grateful for the opportunity to design and bring this Pinterest End-of-Year celebration to life.

For me, this is what event design is all about — creating moments that linger, environments that inspire, and experiences that feel like stepping into another world.

Here’s to more moments that glow.
